  • PLOUD - WEBSITES FOR PUBLIC LIBRARIES (MMLL WEBINAR)

What - this is a customized webinar for MMLL libraries, a good opportunity for you, since there are up to ten more spots for libraries to join Ploud this year, and YOU can have one! Sonya Norris will talk about what the service is - about the hosting, templates and helpdesk support and the fact you can keep your URL if you have one or be provided with one. She will describe the content built into the template, the four look-and-feel options, and the fact that users can extend it as far as they'd like. She will do some show and tell of the higher level functionality such as the calendar with its bells and whistles, the carousels, and the upcoming built-in registration software.  Then she will show how the editing mode works via a demonstration. Information about the costs to the library (it is subsidized by LSTA funding so the library only pays 45% of the cost) will be provided, as will the estimated amount of staff time necessary for startup and ongoing maintenance.
